We are looking for our next State Student Leader 2026-2027! The MIRSA Student Representative is elected to serve the student membership of Michigan. The student representative will work closely with the MIRSA State Director, NIRSA National Student Leader, Region III Student Leader, and Region III Regional Representative. The MIRSA Student Representative will serve on the Executive Committee, inform and educate MIRSA students through conference presentations and committee involvement, and maintain communication through social media.

Within NIRSA, there are seven regions, Michigan is located in Region III. Other states that are a part of Region III are: Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin. Regionally, the states work together to put on events such as NIRSA Region III Lead On and the NIRSA Region III Basketball Tournament.
As a student, consider attending Region III Lead On. This conference is a renowned experience designed and hosted by students for students. At the conference, you will have the opportunity to network with professionals and students in collegiate recreation, attend relevant sessions and learn more about the field. The conference is held annually in a different location in Region III.
MIRSA is our state association. MIRSA is an acronym for Michigan Intramural-Recreational Sports Association. Our state association is comprised of both professionals and students within collegiate recreation and related fields. There are committees within MIRSA continuously working to improve our association and provide a first-class experience for the members.
Our association currently hosts a state-wide conference annually in a different location in Michigan. There are sessions that directly pertain to students and attending is a great way to take your involvement in collegiate recreation to the next level.
