The MIRSA Honor Award recognizes the outstanding contributions of a current or former individual member of the Michigan Intramural Recreational Sports Association (MIRSA).
Criteria for the MIRSA Honor Award:
Significant involvement in and contribution to MIRSA or the field of collegiate recreation. This includes significant contribution in the development of students and young professionals on campus and within MIRSA, holding a MIRSA leadership position or serving on MIRSA committees, or conducting presentations at MIRSA workshops.
Involvement and contribution to NIRSA on a national and regional level as well as local campus impact.
This includes innovative or strategic leadership within NIRSA (i.e, serving on the Executive Committee), or extraordinary dedication or creativity exhibited as a member of MIRSA, Region III and/or NIRSA.
The award will be presented as deserved. Nominations will be carried over for four years and then released unless re-nominated.
Nominations will resume being accepted starting in August 2025.
